Enrique Penalosa is a former mayor of Bogota, Colombia, where he tamed many urban problems.
His views on how sidewalks, bicycles, and access to waterfronts benefit children and future societies are to be applauded. As the world changes, we need to think about the lessons that our built environment teach.
